DAY 1º SAN CRISTOBAL DE LAS CASAS CITY / LA MESILLA (BORDER) / ATITLAN / ACCOMMODATION.


We’ll pick you up in the lobby of your hotel in San Cristóbal de Las Casas and we’ll go to la Mesilla (Border between Mexico and Guatemala). In order that your operator in Guatemala identified with uniform and welcomesign they transport you to the most beautiful lake of the World, Atitlán Lake. Check in the hotel. The city of Panajachel is well known for its numerous hotels, restaurants, entertainments and businesses. Panajachel imprints a cosmopolitan feel of the heart if this modern Mayan civilization. DAY 2º PANAJACHEL / SANTIAGO ATITLAN / SAN ANTONIO / ATITLAN / ACCOMMODATION.


In the morning, you’ll go to Santiago Atitlan town by boat (1 hour about by boat), where you can visit the typical market and the church of the town. After that, you will be able to visit San Antonio town, one of the most important towns located around the Atitlan Lake, here you can admire beautiful landscapes. Transfer to Panajachel. Accommodation.

 

 

 

 

DAY 3º ATITLAN / CHICHICASTENANGO TOWN / PASCUAL ABAJ HILL / ANTIGUA / ACCOMMODATION IN ANTIGUA.


In the morning you’ll visit Chichicastenango town. Traders come down on Thursdays and Sundays only to the central plaza to sell their goods in an impressive indigenous market. You’ll visit the colonial church of Santo Tomas, built in 1540 by the Dominicos. The sacred Quiché book, the “Popol Vuh” was found in this convent. After that, you’ll continue to Pascual Abaj Hill. It is one of the many hills, chosen by the people to hold traditional religious ceremonies which is dedicated to Pascual Abaj (a stone idol), where the Spanish Catholicism and the ancestral Mayan religious blend together. Transfer to Antigua Guatemala. Accommodation.

DAY 4º DAY OFF IN ANTIGUA / ACCOMMODATION.


Day off. Antigua is a required stop during your visit to Guatemala. The view of century old buildings, amongst them: Temples, convents monasteries, abbeys, chapels, hospitals and orphanages will transport you to majestic colonial times in Antigua. A carriage ride through the stone roads or an evening walk through the main plaza will turn your time in Antigua into an unforgettable memory. We recommend you to visit The Museum and House of Santo Domingo, main plaza, San Jose's Cathedral, The Merced’s Church and others. Accommodation.

 

 

 

DAY 5º ANTIGUA / LA MESILLA (BORDER) / SAN CRISTOBAL DE LAS CASAS CITY.


At the agreed time, exit to La Mesilla again for your Sol Tours operator in Mexico as you move to San Cristobal de Las Casas. End of service.
